Essential Questions
1. You are on a Biology field trip to the pond in your city park and see and even photograph a deformed frog. Like everyone else in town, you know there have been many rumors of deformed animals in and around the city park but no one has been able to capture or photograph, or officially document one of these sightings. There have been concerns and even some recent allegations directed toward a factory just outside of town which employs most of the local residents. Though the factory has been dumping chemical waste into a creek that feeds into the park pond for several years, most people ignore it because the factory has threatened to relocate if forced to meet federal pollution guidelines. Additionally, your own father works for the company and could get in trouble and possibly lose his job if your finding causes an investigation into the company. What do you do?
