Activities
1. Anticipatory Set: Can valid statistics lead to false conclusion, i.e. Simpson’s Paradox
Students will: use data items such as mean, median, etc. to examine Simpson’s Paradox
COMPREHENSION:
Predict how data merging will affect various data sets, summarize how predictions vary from actual observations

Essential Questions
1. Many times cures to diseases are found by trial and error and through failure. However, in today’s society, failures are not looked upon favorably. Why is it important to have failure, particularly in science? Role play your reasons as to why failure is important.
